We need to use this to find the average:

240%2Bx=356

x=116

He would need a score of 116 on the final test to average 89, which he may be able to achieve with extra credit, I suppose.

If there is no extra credit, the highest average he could end up with would be:

%2883%2B82%2B75%2B100%29%2F4 which would be 85 (which should still be a grade of B)!
