If the problem is
9: x = 6:8
That is 9/x =6/8
That is 9/x = 3/4 (cancelling 2)
Mulitplying by (4x) or cross multiplying
9X4 = 3X(x)
dividing by 3
3X4 = x
That is x = 12
Answer: x = 12
