Question 1115349: I have this problem that says a= square root of 75 b=? c= 15
this is Pythagorean therum. Found 2 solutions by addingup, MathTherapy:Answer by addingup(3677) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Pythagorean theorem: means we are dealing with a right angle triangle. But since you don't know if you are looking for the hypotenuse or one of the sides, I'll pretend you need the hypotenuse:
b = sqrt(a^2+c^2)
b = sqrt(75+225)
b = 17.32
That answer of 17.32 for the other person is WRONG, and WRONG, and WRONG again.
How can a leg of a right triangle be longer than the hypotenuse of the same triangle?
