Question 850444: I measured a straight line from A to B and I got 11 9/10 cm. the question asked to:
1)calculate the relative error in measuring A to B
2)calculate the percentage of error in measuring AB
Can you please help? Also, Iʻm unsure if I should have rounded up my measurement or if its correct the way its written.
Thank you

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Absolute and relative error compare a measured result to an accepted/given value. What value was given/accepted for the distance between A and B?

Call that given/accepted value X. Call your measurement Y.

The absolute error is |Y-X|

The relative error is |Y-X|/X
