Hi,

C is between M and K

  MC = 4x + 14

  KC=  CK = 5x-8

MC + CK =   MK = 42

   4x + 14 + 5x - 8 = 42

       9x = 36

        x = 4 

MC = 30

  KM =  MK = 42
