put this solution on YOUR website! How do I find the measure of the angles in a triangle if the second angle is the same size as the first angle and the third angle is twice the size of the second angle?
first angle's measure + second angle's measure + third angle's measure = 180°
Use "x" for the first angle's measure.
Also use "x" for the second angle's measure, since it's the same size as the first angle.
But use "2x" for the third angle's measure since it's twice the size of the second angle and twice x is 2x.
Add them up and set = 180°
x + x + 2x = 180
4x = 180
x = 45
So the first angle's measure is 45°
The second angle's measure is also 45°
The third angle's measure is 2x, or 2·45° which is 90°,
