180-x is the supplement.
90 - x is the compliment.
So, we get
180-x+=+3%2A%281%2F2%29%2A%2890-x%29+%2B+12
By distributive prperty, we get
180-x+=+135+-+%283%2F2%29%29x+%2B+12
combining like terms on the right we get
180-x+=+147+-+%283%2F2%29x
and simplifying we get
33+=+%281%2F2%29x
66+=+x
The supplement of 66 is 114. Half of 114 is 57.
So answer is 57.
