You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = angle B
3x= angle A, the supplement of angle B

x + 3x= 180
4x=180
x=45 degrees Angle B
3x = 135 degrees Angle A

Check: 45+135 = 180

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
< A is three times as large as its supplement, < B
---
< A = 3< B
< B = 180-< A
----------------
Substitute for < A and solve for < B
< B = 180-3< B
4< B = 180
< B = 45 Degrees
---
Solve for < A
< A = 3(45) = 135 degrees
=========================================
< A is one eigth as large as its complement, < B
< B = 90- < A = 8< B
------------------
Substitute for < B = 90-8< B
9< B = 90
< B = 10 degrees
--------
< A = 8(10) = 90 degrees
