You can put this solution on YOUR website! The first angle of a triangle is half the measure of the second angle. The measure of the third angle is 40 degress more than 4 times the measure of the first. Find the measure of each angle. ------------------
 Let the 2nd angle be "x".
 Then the 1st angle is "2x"
 And the 3rd angle is "4x+40"
 -------------------------------
 Equation:
 x + 2x + 4x+40 = 180
 7x = 140
 x = 20 degrees (2nd angle)
 2x = 40 degrees (1st angle)
 4x+40 = 120 degrees (3rd angle)
 --------------------

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let x,,y,,,z,,,be angles of triangle .
 x = (1/2) y,,,,or  y=2x,,,,,given
 .
 z= 40 + 4z,,,,,,,,given
 .
 but  sum  of  angles  =  180,,,or  x + y + z = 180
 .
 x + 2x + 40 +4x = 180
 .
 7x = 140
 .
 x= 20
 .
 y=2x = 2*20 = 40
 .
 z=40 +4x =40 + 4*20 =40 + 80 = 120
 .
 .
 checking,,,x+y+z=20+40+120 = 180,,,,,ok
 .
