Question 1155675: Can you help me with this equation. I am really confused. ok so the question is
"An angle measures 144° more than the measure of its supplementary angle. What is the measure of each angle?"
Can you help me figure out how to solve this for future questions like this in my assignments? Please.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! two angles are supplementary if they add to 180 degrees
let one be x
The other has to be 180-x
but x is also 144 more than 180-x, just inserting the 144 into the x and 180-x statement
x-144=180-x
2x=36
x=18 degrees
180-x=162 degrees. Those are the angles, and 162-144=18.
