6x + 72 + 2x + 28 = 180
6x + 2x + 72 + 28 = 180
8x + 100 = 180
8x = 80
x = 10
now plug in the 10 into the original equations to find the value of the supplementary angles
6(10)+72 = 132
you do the other one, then add 132 and the result you get to make sure they add up to 180.
