Supplemental angles add to 180 degrees.
So E+F = 180. If you know E=F-55 then:
(F-55)+F = 180
2F-55 = 180 (combined like-terms)
2F-55+55 = 180+55 (added 55 to both sides)
2F = 235
F = 117.5
E = 180-F = 180-117.5 = 62.5

Ans: E is 62.5 degrees, F is 117.5 degrees
