Question 325380: Ok...here goes...I am attempting to find the sum of the polynomials:
6x^3-2x^4+9 and -2x^4+3x+3
I think this is the way to complete the problem, if at all possible can someone confirm this and if i am wrong please assist me in understanding what I have done wrong...
My thoughts:
write equation
(6x^3-2x^4+9)+(-2x^4+3x+3)combine like terms
6x^3(-2x^4+(-2x^4)+3x+3+9
6x^3-4^4+3x+12
basically resulting in the answer being
-4^4+6x^3+3x+12

Question 326080: How do you find marginal cost if
12 units cost $445; 50 units cost $1585
The linear cost function is writen as c(x)=30x+85
I know the answer is $30.
Also I need to find the average cost per unit to produce 100 units.
I know this answer is $30.85
I just can't figure out how they reached these answers. I have been working on this problem for 2 day.
