You can put this solution on YOUR website!
hi there,
2/(x - 1) = 5/(x - 1) - 3/4
LCD = 4(x - 1)
8 = 20 -3(x - 1)
8 = 20 -3x + 3
8 - 20 - 3 = -3x
-15 = -3x
x = 5
Proof:
2/(x - 1) = 5/(x - 1) - 3/4
2/(5 - 1) = 5/(5 - 1) - 3/4
2/4 = 5/4 - 3/4 Which is correct.
Hope this helps.
