For the other problem -4(5x-2)=8(4-4x) also start by distributing to get -20x+8=32-32x. Add 20x to both sides so the equation is 8=32-12x. Then subtract 32 to both sides to get -24=-12x. Divide both sides by -12 so that x=2.
