if the hand of the clock is 10 cm long how far will it move within 1 hour
==========================
Do it like this one:
the hand of the clock is 2 cm how far will it move within 1 hour
------------
1 hour = 1/12 of a revolution = 30 degs, or pi/6 radians.
----
Arc length = r*angle
= 2*(pi/6) cm
= pi/3 cm
=~ 1.047 cm

You didn't tell us whether the hand is an hour hand, minute hand or second
hand.

If it is the hour hand you're talking about, the tip sweeps out 1 circumference
of the circle it travels through in 1 hour. The formula for the circumference
of a circle is C = 2pr = 2(3.14)(10) = 62.8 cm.

If it is the minute hand, it sweeps through 60 times as many circumferences
as it would if it were the hour hand or 60·62.8 = 3768 cm or 37.68 meters.

If it is the second hand, it sweeps through 60 times as many circumferences
as it would if it were the minute hand or 60·37.68 = 2260.8 meters, or
2.2608 km. a little less than a mile and a half.
