Question 590269: How would you prove sqrt 2 + sqrt 3 < sqrt 5 + sqrt 7?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sqrt%282%29 < sqrt%285%29 because 2 < 5
sqrt%283%29 < sqrt%287%29 because 3 < 7

Therefore

sqrt%282%29 + sqrt%283%29 < sqrt%285%29 + sqrt%287%29

because unequals in a certain order added to unequals in the same order
always gives unequals in that same order.
