You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2+5(2x+4)=11+3(x+6)
2+5(2x)+5(4)=11+3(x)+3(6)
2+10x+20=11+3x+18
10x+22=3x+29
10x+22-22=3x+29-22
10x=3x+7
10x-3x=7
7x=7
7x/7=7/7
highlight%28x=1%29
:
Check by substituting 1 in for x and see if both sides equal:
2+5(2(1)+4)=11+3(1+6)
2+5(6)=11+3(7)
2+30=11+21
32=32 We're right!!!
Happy Calculating!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2+5(2X+4)=11+3(X+6)
2+10X+20=11+3X+18
10X-3X=11+18-2-20
7X=7
X=7/7
X=1
PROOF
2+5(2*1+4)=11+3(1+6)
2+5(2+4)=11+3(7)
2+5(6)=11+21
2+30=32
32=32
