You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Please don't feel like a big dummy. Nobody was born knowing algebra!
50+5x = 120+3x
50+5x-3x=120+3x-3x
50+(5-3)x=120+0
50+2x=120
-50+50+2x=120-50
0+2x=70
2x=70
2x/2=70/2
x=35

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
50 + 5x = 120 + 3x
you need to subtract 50 from both sides
leaves you with 5x= 70 + 3x
then you subtract 3x from both sides and that leaves you with
2x= 70 then you divide both sides by 2 and that leaves you with
x = 35
