You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x-5= -y
x+3y= 0
What is x and y?
-----------------
y = 5-2x
Substitute for "y" and solve for "x":
x + 3(5-2x) = 0
x + 15-6x = 0
-5x = -15
x = 3
----
Solve for "y":
y = 5-2x
y = 5-6
y = -1
