Let's see if I can help you out. I tried out the way it's written and the answer is the second answer. Looking over the problem, it appears the problem was written or copied wrong. To get the answer 3p/2 the problem needs to be written as:
(2p-2)/p*6p^2/(8p-8) Notice the 8p-8 is needed not 8p*p
With this problem the answer is 3p/2
