You can put this solution on YOUR website! the sum of two numbers is 13. One number is 1 more than twice the other.fIND THE LARGER NUMBER?
-------------------------------
Let one of the numbers be "x".
The other number is "2x+1"
-----------------------------
EQUATION:
x + 2x+1 = 13
3x = 12
x = 4 (one of the numbers)
2x+1 = 9 (the larger number)
