You can put this solution on YOUR website! Y=mX+b IS THIS LINE EQUATION WITH A SLOPE(m) OF -4 & A Y INTERCEPT(b) OF 3.
Y=-4X+3 (RED LINE)
--------------------------------
SLOPE=(3-5)/(5-4)=-2/1=-2
5=-2*4+b
5=-8+b
b=5+8
b=13 ANSWER FOR THE Y INTERCEPT.
THUS THIS LINE EQUATION IS:
Y=-2X+13 (GREEN LINE). (graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 30, of TWO functions -4x +3 and -2x +13).
