You can put this solution on YOUR website!
AN INEQUALITY (> OR <) IS SIMILIAR TO AN EQUATION WITH ONE MAJOR DIFFERENCE WHICH I'LL COVER WHEN WE GET TO IT.
-3X-5>X+15
-3X-X>15+5 HERE WE SUBTRACT X +5 FROM EACH SIDE.
-4X>20 HERE WE COMBINE LIKE TERMS. NOW WE GET TO THE MAJOR DIFFERENCE BETWEEN (>,<)& = SIGNS.
WHENEVER YOU DIVIDE OR MULTIPLY BOTH SIDES BY A NEGATIVE THE > SIGN CHANGES TO A < SIGN & VISE-VERSA.
X<20/-4
X<-5 IS THE ANSWER.
PROOF
LET X=-5.1
-3(-5.1)-5>5.1+15
15.3-5>20.1
20.3>20.1
