Question 1122321: a parallelogram has two side lengths of five units. three of its side lengths have equations y=0, y=2 and y=2x. find the equation of the fourth side.
I already tried graphing it out but all I could come up with is 2=2x because I thought that it would be the same as the other line due to it being a parallelogram

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

a parallelogram has two side lengths of five units. three of its side lengths have equations y=0, y=2 and y=2x. find the equation of the fourth side.
I already tried graphing it out but all I could come up with is 2=2x because I thought that it would be the same as the other line due to it being a parallelogram
----------------------------------------

Use your line for the slanted sides of y=2x. You want to keep the same slope so that the last side is parallel to y=2x.

Take either y=0 line or y=2 line.
Where does y=2x intersect with y=0? At point (0,0).
You can take either of two points 5 units away from (0,0) and on the y axis y=0. These can be either (-5,0) or (5,0). Remember your slope of the line running through either of these still needs to be 2.
