I really would like en explanation to the steps on how the answer can be obtained and what the answer is. I am stuck on question 11 on my homework and I'd like to understand the process

it sounds like you're trying to find the factors.
if that's the case, you could do it in the following manner.
start with 3b^3 -5b^2 + 2b = 0
replace b with x because it makes it easier to relate to the quadratic formula.
the equation becomes 3x^3 - 5x^2 + 2x = 0
factor out an x to get x * (3x^2 - 5x + 2) = 0
this equation is true if x = 0 and or if 3x^2 - 5x + 2 = 0.
factor of x = 0 yields the solution of x = 0.
factor of 3x^2 - 5x + 2 = 0 needs to be factored further using the quadratic formula.
when you use that formula, you get x = 1 or x = 2/3.
your possible solutions are x = 0, x = 1, or x = 2/3.
replace x with b to get b = 0 or b = 1 or b = 1/3.

if you graph the equation, it will look like this.
1/3 is the same as .6667 as shown in the graph.
