Question 236818: What is the smallest value of x for which | x | < 6
Answer by College Student(505) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! If you are dealing with just whole numbers, then the smallest value for x would be -5. When you take the absolute value of -5, you come up with 5<6.
Now, if you need to include fractions or decimals, then the smallest value for x is -5.9999999.... to the infinity, but without reaching 6.
I hope that helps and did not confused you.
