Since 1.95 ends in a 5 cent increment, she has to have one quarter or three quarters or 5 quarters or 7 quarters. Eight quarters would be $2.00 and so too many. If she had an even number of quarters, you can't get a total ending in 5 cents. Then, just figure out how many dimes she would need to get to the total.
