given:

(2) 160+=+5n+%2B+10d (in cents)
Substitute (1) in (2)
(2) 160+=+5n+%2B+10d
160+=+5n+%2B+10%2A%28n+%2B+4%29
160+=+5n+%2B+10n+%2B+40
15n+=+120
n+=+8
And from (1)
(1) d+=+n+%2B+4
d+=+8+%2B+4
d+=+12
She has 8 nickels and 12 dimes
