Question 1114563: Bill and Ted have the same number of coins. Bill has only dimes and Ted has only quarters. If Ted has $3.00 more than Bill, how much does Ted have? Found 2 solutions by greenestamps, josmiceli:Answer by greenestamps(13200) (Show Source):
Each quarter is worth 15 cents more than each dime. Since the numbers of quarters and dimes is the same, the number of dimes or quarters is 3 dollars divided by 15 cents: 300/15 = 20.
So Ted has 20 dimes ($2) and Bill has 20 quarters ($5).
