You have a right triangle with hypotenuse = 210 and angle opposite
the height = 48 degrees.

a) What is the vertical distance between Sam;s hand and the kite?
Let the vertical distance be "h":
sin(48) = h/210
h = 210*sin(48) = 156.06 metres
----------------------------------------
b) How high is the kite above the ground?
Ans: 156.06+1.45 = 157.51 metres
