Question 590169: Solve sin%5E2%28x%29 = 3cos%5E2%28x%29

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sin%5E2%28x%29 = 3cos%5E2%28x%29
Divide both sides by cos²(x)

sin%5E2%28x%29%2Fcos%5E2%28x%29 = 3

%28sin%28x%29%2Fcos%28x%29%29%5E2 = 3

tan²(x) = 3

tan(x) = ±sqrt%283%29

x = 60° and 240° if in degrees

x = pi%2F3 and 4pi%2F3 if in radians
