You can put this solution on YOUR website!
evaluate the following: csc(120 degrees)
i am not sure what it means by evaluate and not sure how to do it

You can simply evaluate this problem on a calculator by taking the sin of 120º and finding its reciprocal, but I'm sure this is not what your teacher wanted you to do.
..
First you must find 120º on the unit circle, then determine the reference angle from which you would evaluate the given trig function.
Starting from zero on the unit circle, rotate 120º counter-clockwise.
Notice that the terminal side makes a 60º angle with the x-axis.
This is the reference angle in quadrant II.
By now, you should have memorized that csc 60º=1/sin 60º=2/√3.
csc and sin functions are<0 in quadrant II
so the final answer:
csc(120º)=-2/√3 or-2√3/3
There is more to it than this, but I hope this helps
