Question 559951: Solve the equation 2 sin(x) = 0.7x by graphing Y1 = 2 sin(x) - 0.7 and finding the x-intercepts.
We never went over how to use a calculator to find the x-intercepts for this type of problem. Can you help me?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Solve the equation 2 sin(x) = 0.7x by graphing Y1 = 2 sin(x) - 0.7 and finding the x-intercepts.
---
Instructions for a TI-84.
---
y= button
enter "2sin(x)-0.7" in Y1
Zoom button
#7 button
----
You should see a sin curve on your screen.
---------
2nd followed by Trace buttons
#2 button
You should see "Left bound" on your screen
ENTER
You should see "Right bound" on you screen.
You need to scroll the blinking symbol to
the right of the x-intercept.
ENTER
You should see GUESS on your screen.
ENTER
You should see x = 20.49 ; y = 0
on your screen.
That is one of the x-intercepts.
----
Repeat the sequence from the
command 2nd followed by Trace buttons
scroll to the left of a different x- intercept
and repeat the ENTER,move blinking symbol, ENTER, ENTER
to see a different x-intercept.
