Question 292482: Can you calculate the value of x in a right triangle with legs of x and 2x-1 and a hypoyenuse of 2x-1? I have tried the pythagorean theorem but x = 0. I don't think it works because the leg and the hypotenuse are the same. Thanks.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The hypotenuse is the longest side. There can't be a side equal to it.
check the problem
Perhaps the hypotenuse is 2x+1.
x^2+(2x-1)^2=(2x+1)^2
x=8 or 0
