Question 850588: if a car travels 30 meters per second for 3 minutes - How many meters are traveled?
I believe the answer is 30 meters times 60 sec. then that answer (1800) times 3 for each minute. I come up with 5400 - but the answer should be 3600 they say -

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Convert 3 minutes to seconds
( minutes ) x ( seconds / minute ) = seconds sec
------------------------
Now use ( meters ) = ( m/sec )*( sec )
I get 5400 meters also. If the car traveled at a rate of
20 m/sec, then you would get 3600 m for an answer.
