You can put this solution on YOUR website! google maps will tell you that you will travel 1125 miles and it will take you 18 hours and 39 minutes.
if you assume 60 miles per hour average all the way, then it would take you 1125/60 = 18.75 hours which equates to 18 hours and 45 minutes.
this may not be realistic, however.
if you assume 60 miles per hour and you take a 1/2 hour break every 4 hours, then you need to add about 2.5 hours for breaks, which will make the total trip time closer to 21.25 hours.
at 21.25 hours, the average miles per hour becomes 1125/21.25 = 53 miles per hour.
if you get stuck in traffic for maybe 20% of the way, and are only traveling at 30 miles per hour during that time, then your average miles per hour will go down accordingly.
under that assumption, you get:
.20 * 1125 = 225 miles
225 / 30 = 7.5 hours.
(1125 - 225) = 900 / 60 = 15 hours.
total hours = 22.5 hours.
1/2 hour breaks every 4 hours will add (22.5/4) = 2.8125 hours to the trip for a total of 25.3125 hours.
1125 miles in 25.3125 comes up to an average speed of 45 miles per hour.
let's just say you will probably take somewhere between 21 hours and 25 hours and your average speed will be somewhere between 53 miles per hour and 45 miles per hour.
not taking any breaks is not recommended.
25 hours on the road is brutal on the driver and the passengers.
you would probably want to split the trip into 2 days of about 12 hours apiece.
assume 24 hours on the road for simplicity and assume you split the trip up into 2 days, then you can figure that if you leave by 9am on one day, you would arrive around 9pm on the next day.
