Question 403542: A young man is walking towards the front of a bus at a speed of 2 m/s. What is his speed with respect to the ground when the bus speed is 30 m/s? What is his speed relative to the ground if he is walking towards the back of the bus at 2 m/s?
Am I on the right track?
question one:30m/s + 2 m/s= 32m/s
question two: 30m/s-2m/s=28 m/s divided by the Earth's speed relative to the sun which is 3 m/s.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Your answers are correct, but I don't know where you got that about the Earth's speed relative to the Sun.
-------------------
PS The Earth's speed in its orbit around the Sun =~ 29 km/sec, 29000 meters/sec
