How many seconds does it take to go 100 feet if you're traveling 45 mph??
----
45 miles/hr (1 hr/3600 sec)(5280 ft/1 mile) = 66 ft/sec
----
[x sec/100 ft] = [1 sec/66 ft]
----
66x = 100
x = 100/66
x = 1.515 seconds to go 100 ft at 45 mph

Hi,
1 ft = 1/5280mi
100ft = 100/5280 mi
d = rt
100/5280mi = 45*mphr *t
100/5280mi = 45*mphr *t
.019/45 = t
.0004 hr = t
1 hr = 3600 sec
3600*.0004 = 1.44 sec
