miles with the wind. He can travel only 18 miles against the wind in the same amount of time.
If the rate of the wind is 3 miles per hour, what is the cyclist's rate without the wind?

Let the speed be x:
30%2F%28x%2B3%29=18%2F%28x-3%29 ---> cross multiply:
18(x+3)=30(x-3)
18x+54=30x-90
-12x=-144
x=12
Hence, he can travel 12mph.
