Question 314931: It is a 170 miles from bruce house to the city where his brother lives. On his last trip to visit his brother, he drove for two hours at 55 miles per hour. The he come to some very bad road construction. The rest of the trip too two hours. How many miles per hour did Bruce drive for the rest of the trip? Answer by malaydassharma(59) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Initial distance covered during first two hours at 55 miles per hour= 2X 55= 110 miles.
Remaining distance ( 170-110)=60 miles again covered in 2 hrs.
Hence , speed for rest of the trip = 60/2=30 miles/hr
