1 h and 15 minutes = 1.25h.

1.75x+1.25x=225
3x=225
x=75
1.75*(75)=131.25
1.25*(75)=93.75

Hence there speeds are 75mph, and for the person whose time is 1h and 45 minutes his distance is 131.25miles and for the person whose time is 1.25 his distance is 93.75 miles.
