You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The speed of the train = 60miles/h
The length of the train = 1 mile
The length of the tunnel= 1 mile
Total = 2 miles
Time taken by the train to pass through the tunnel = distance/speed
= 2/60 hour
=(2/60)*60 minutes
= 2 minutes

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

                 A                                   B
 ---------------- ---------------- ------------------
| Train going in | Tunnel | Train coming out |
 ---------------- ---------------- ------------------
      1 mile          1 mile            1 mile

For the engine to move from point A to point B which is 2 miles,
we use T=D%2FR+=+2%2F60 and 2 sixtieths of an hour is 2 minutes.
