You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In order to solve this problem, all we need to know is the distance formula.

D = RT

The distance between the two cars is 3.2 and the time that it took for these cars to gain that distancse is 2.5.

3.2 = R(2.5)
R = 1.28

Now, to find how far apart the cars will be two hours later, we add two to the initial time and plug in our rate.

D = (1.28)(4.5)

This gives us a distance of 5.76
