You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let john's speed = j and the distance he travelled be J. Time = 4 +1=5
Given: Lisa's speed = 30, time = 4. Let her distance be L
Since they are travelling in opposite directions, the distance between them is the sum of the distance travelled by each.
Distance = speed * time.
For John:
For Lisa
The total between them is given as 370.
So John went 250km in 5 hours.
John must be going 50km.
