THe return flight took 8 hrs.
Let the speed of the plane in still air=x
onward journey speed=x+22, onward time=6 h, onward ditance=6(x+22)
return journey speed=x-22, Return time=8 h, return ditance=8(x-22)
equate both distances:
6(x+22)=8(x-22)
6x+132=8x-176
6x-8x=-176-132
-2x=-308
x=-308/-2=154
Speed in still air = 154 kmph
verify
onward dist=speedxtime=6(x+22)=6(154+22)=176x6=1056
Return dist=speedxtime=8(x-22)=8(154-22)=132x8=1056
