point A is 450km away from point B. A lorry is travelling from A to B . At the same time, a car is travelling from B to A . If the speed of the lorry is 2/3 the speed of the car, what distance would the car have travelled to meet the lorry along the way.

Without any calculations, it is clear that the car and the lorry will spend the same time from the start moment
to the moment they meet each other.
Hence, the lorry will cover of the distance, which the car will cover.
So, if x is the distance under the question, then
x + = 450
= 450
x = = 90*3 = 270.
Answer. The car will cover 270 kilometers, before it meet the lorry.
Check. 270 + = 270 + 180 = 450 kilometers. ! Correct !
