You can put this solution on YOUR website! Town X and Town Y are 560 KM apart. At 11 A.M., a van leaves Town X for Town Y, Travelling at a constant rate of speed. At the same time, a bus leaves for Town Y from Town X, also travelling at a constant rate of speed. The 2 vehicle pass each other at 1.20 P.M. a) Find the van's average rate of speed?
b) How far is the bus from Town X when it passes the van?
The van leaves Town X for Town Y, and the bus leaves for Town Y from Town X?
From what I've read, both left from TOWN X and headed to TOWN Y. Is that what you meant? I don't think so!!
From what you're saying, both left TOWN X, and if so, that's the only time they'd be "together." You need to change this!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Travelling at a constant rate of speed.
==================
There is no "rate of speed"
---
There's rate, and there's speed.
