The minimum would be if it's a square, apx --> 4 by 4.25 = 16.5 feet
If it's 1 by 17, then it would take 36 feet.
If it's 0.01 by 1700, then it's ~ 3400 feet.

Depends on the shape of the rectangle. The closer the shape is to square, the smaller the perimeter for a given area. So if you had a 6" wide by 34' garden, you would need 65 feet of fence, but if you have a square garden, on a side, then you would need feet. If you can figure a way to express the length as some function of the width, I can help you. Just write back.
