For any right triangle, the median drawn to hypotenuse, has the length HALF of the hypotenuse.


Therefore, in your problem the hypotenuse length is  2*30.5 = 61 units.


Hence, the other leg is  sqrt%2861%5E2-11%5E2%29 = sqrt%283600%29 = 60 units.


Then the area of the triangle is  %2811%2A60%29%2F2 = 11*30 = 330 square units.
